Announcing a New Appointment: Federal Tax and Budget Policy Fellowship
I am proud to have been selected as a member of the Rainey Center’s inaugural Federal Tax and Budget Policy Fellowship, joining a small group of legislators from across the country.
Through the fellowship, I will gain additional training in federal tax and budget policy and a deeper understanding of how decisions in Washington, D.C. impact Pennsylvania’s budget and funding opportunities here at home.
I look forward to representing our community and the Commonwealth in this new role.

Keep an Eye Out: Growth and Affordability Hearing
On Sept. 1, I will host a policy hearing focused on my Pennsylvania Growth and Affordability Plan (GAP), a package of proposals aimed at lowering costs for families and making Pennsylvania more competitive.
The plan includes legislation to lower Pennsylvania’s Personal Income Tax (PIT), eliminate the realty transfer tax on residential homes, exempt common home improvement materials from the sales and use tax, make childcare more affordable, lower the cost of higher education and encourage economic growth across the Commonwealth.
Keep an eye out for additional information on the hearing, the legislation included in the plan, and how these proposals could help Pennsylvania families.

Treasury Announces Bonus for Families’ Education Savings
Pennsylvania families with qualified PA 529 College and Career Saving Program Guaranteed Savings Plan (GSP) accounts could receive a $1,000 bonus contribution, enhancing education savings for about 107,000 Pennsylvania families.
